About

I mostly write fiction. I want to offer my readers the magical experience that I have when I read a good story or book—diving into another world. I hope to give a voice to the voiceless: immigrants, women, young adults. As an immigrant myself, I view the world via my bicultural, bilingual lens. My characters are often outsiders floating between two worlds, searching for the American Dream, however imperfect it may be. Through those characters, I explore what it means to dream, to love, to make mistakes, to experience loss, to find purpose. I want to publish novels and short stories that are filled with conflict and difficulties, as often happens in life, but that can also empower, transport, become mirrors for others.

Many years ago, through
literature, I began my endless
exploration of human existence. I
lived a thousand lives, every one
different from the next. I witnessed
many centuries and assumed many
nationalities. And most of all,
through the eyes of fictional
characters, I watched myself and
others in the mirror of the printed
page. I gained perspective. I gained
experience. I gained knowledge.
And then I started to write.
